TezSweep Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the TezSweep Android app ("TezSweep") made by TezWrld LLC ("TezWrld", "we", "us") handles information. TezSweep helps you review and clean up shared files on your phone and, if you choose to connect them, personal Gmail, Outlook.com/Hotmail and Yahoo Mail mailboxes. You do not need a TezWrld account.
Summary
- Your files and emails are processed on your phone. TezSweep does not upload your files, email content, or email addresses to TezWrld.
- Email access goes directly from your phone to Google, Microsoft or Yahoo. Google and Microsoft use their own sign-in screens. Yahoo uses a generated app password that TezSweep stores encrypted on your phone. Never enter your regular Yahoo account password in TezSweep.
- Nothing is deleted without your review and confirmation.
- The free version shows non-personalized Google ads, which you can remove with a one-time Google Play purchase. We do not sell your data.
Permissions
- All files access / storage and media access (photos, videos, audio, or only media you select) — to find large, old and duplicate files in shared storage so you can review and clean them up.
- Internet — to connect to Gmail, Outlook.com/Hotmail or Yahoo Mail if you choose, to show ads in the free version, and for Google Play purchases.
- Notifications and run at startup — for optional low-storage and inbox-growth reminders.
Phone files
TezSweep examines accessible shared files on your device, including names, locations, types, dates, sizes, favorite status where available, and content fingerprints (hashes) used to confirm exact duplicates. This happens on your device; files are not uploaded to TezWrld. App-private storage and system areas are excluded.
Every cleanup requires your review and confirmation. Items moved to Trash can be restored while they remain in Trash; permanent removal is a separate, explicit action. If your files sync with another service, deletions may sync too.
Email accounts (Gmail, Outlook.com/Hotmail and Yahoo Mail)
Connecting an email account is optional. For Gmail and Outlook.com/Hotmail, you sign in on Google's or Microsoft's own screens and choose which permissions to grant. For Yahoo Mail, you generate an app password in Yahoo Account Security and enter that password and your full Yahoo email address in TezSweep. Yahoo may not make app passwords available to every account.
- Gmail (Google APIs): TezSweep requests permission to read, organize and move messages to Trash (gmail.modify). Permission to permanently delete messages (full Gmail access) is requested only if you use the feature that permanently empties selected Trash.
- Outlook.com/Hotmail (Microsoft Graph): TezSweep requests your basic profile, read/write access to your mail, and the ability to stay signed in (User.Read, Mail.ReadWrite, offline_access).
- Yahoo Mail (IMAP): TezSweep uses a Yahoo-generated app password to connect directly to Yahoo over TLS. This credential allows mailbox access, including reading, organizing, moving messages to Trash and permanently removing mail. TezSweep performs cleanup only after your approval. The generated app password stays encrypted in the app's private storage using Android Keystore; it is never sent to TezWrld, advertisers or an AI service. Manage Yahoo app passwords.
With this access TezSweep reads your account address, message details (such as sender, subject, date, size and labels/folders), and short plain-text previews of messages you choose to preview. It can move selected mail to Trash, restore it, organize it into folders or labels, and permanently delete selected Trash after an extra confirmation. Remote images in emails are not loaded.
All email requests go directly from your phone to Google, Microsoft or Yahoo over encrypted connections. Your account connection, scan progress, inbox-count summaries and recovery records are stored only on your phone, encrypted with an Android Keystore key, and excluded from Android cloud backup and device transfer. TezSweep does not send message content, attachments, subjects, email addresses or credentials to TezWrld or to advertisers.
Google API Services User Data Policy — Limited Use
TezSweep's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Gmail data is used only to provide TezSweep's user-facing cleanup, organization and recovery features. It is not used for advertising, is not sold, is not transferred to others except as needed to provide these features, comply with law, or with your consent, is not used to train AI models, and is not read by humans except with your explicit permission, for security purposes, or as required by law.
Optional reminders
If you turn them on, TezSweep checks available phone storage and, for connected mailboxes, inbox total and unread counts about every 12 hours (Android may delay checks). No message bodies or attachments are downloaded for these checks and no cleanup happens automatically. Notifications do not include email addresses or message content.
Advertising (free version)
The free version uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) and Google's User Messaging Platform for consent. The app checks consent before requesting ads and requests non-personalized ads. Even non-personalized ads involve Google processing information such as your IP address, device identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostic information. Purchases
The optional one-time "Remove ads" purchase is handled by Google Play Billing. TezSweep checks Google Play's signed purchase receipt and stores it encrypted on your phone. We never receive your payment card details.
Crash reports
If you turn on local crash reports, TezSweep saves the app version, Android version, error type and code locations on your phone. Filenames, email addresses, subjects, message content and access tokens are excluded. Reports are never uploaded automatically; you decide whether to share a summary with support.

Retention
TezSweep's data is stored on your phone until you remove it. Disconnecting a mailbox removes its connection, scan progress, inbox-count summary and recovery history from the app. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes TezSweep's private records and settings. Files moved to TezSweep's phone Trash stay in a hidden .TezSweepTrash folder on the same storage until you restore or permanently delete them. Review these files in TezSweep before uninstalling. Items in Google, Microsoft, Yahoo or device Trash follow those services' own retention. TezWrld does not hold your files or email; if you email support, we keep that correspondence only as long as needed to help you.
Your choices and deleting data
- Disconnect an email account in TezSweep at any time.
- For Yahoo, disconnecting removes the generated app password from TezSweep's local account store. Also revoke that app password in Yahoo Account Security to invalidate it with Yahoo. Disconnecting does not delete your mailbox or undo completed cleanup.
- Revoke TezSweep's access in your Google Account or Microsoft account settings.
- Change ad privacy choices in the app when offered, or reset your advertising ID in Android settings.
- Clear TezSweep's app data in Android settings or uninstall the app.

Children
TezSweep is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through TezSweep, contact us and we will help remove it.
Changes
If we change how TezSweep handles information, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
